Traffic Safety Community Network (TSCN)

The Traffic Safe Communities Network was created in 1997 as a collaborative program supported by the National Highway Traffic Administration, California Office of Traffic Safety, and Santa Clara County Public Health Department. Its initial goals were to prevent and control traffic-related fatalities and injuries as well as save healthcare cost and property costs through research-based best practice approaches. The initial areas of focus included impaired driving, bicycle and pedestrian safety, and roadway safety.
