SUBJECT: Notice of Resignation

This is to inform you that I intend to resign from my position as Board Supervisor,
District 4, as of Monday, December 4, 2006 at noon in order to assume my new position
as Assembly Member District 24. As a result of my resignation, my seat will be vacant.
It has been an honor to serve with my colleagues on the Board of Supervisors, Supervisor
Blanca Alvarado, Supervisor Don Gage, Supervisor Liz Kniss and Supervisor Pete
McHugh. I would also like to acknowledge and thank the County Executive and all the
County employees who have been doing more with less. Although I will greatly miss the
people I have met and the work I have done at the local level, I look forward to working
with all of you in my new role as Assembly member.
