Employment Support Initiative
In 1996, hundreds of individuals gathered to develop a vision for Santa Clara County’s community response to federal welfare reform. The extensive community collaboration resulted in a model system that would serve as the vehicle to achieve a basic vision to strengthen low-income parents’ access to the resources they need to care for their children through employment and related services.
