Superior Court Budget

Thank you for meeting with me. I appreciate the information you provided on
the various different issues we discussed. As I said in our meeting, it is essential
that the Court and the County work together to address the many critical issues
relating to the Courfs budget.

I am very concerned about $900,000 discrepancy between the Courfs FY 96 budget
and the Administration's FY 96 recommended budget. In an effort to reconcile
the major differences between the budgets, I have requested the assistance of the
Administration in analyzing the discrepancies. If there are any
recommendations or suggestions the Court may have regarding this issue, please
do not hesitate to bring them to my attention. It is my hope that the Court and
the County can work together to resolve some of these differences which could
address some of the over expenditures in next year's budget.
In addition, I would appreciate any efforts by the Courfs Administration on the
Nuestra Familia case. Any assistance that you may be able to provide would be
extremely helpful to the County.
